Sustainable travel
A new mobility hub
To support modern and sustainable travel, we are exploring the creation of a mobility hub. This could include:
- New bus stops to enhance public transport accessibility.
- Bicycle parking to encourage active travel.
- EV charging points to support the transition to greener transport.
- Real-time travel information and signage to assist with journey planning.
- Seating area to create a comfortable and welcoming space for residents

Prioritising active travel
Creating safer routes for pedestrians and cyclists
Encouraging active and sustainable travel is a key part of our development plans. As part of our proposals, we are considering:
- New cycle and footpaths to improve connections to key destinations, such as Wythall Railway Station.
- Improvements to walkways and cycle paths, ensuring safe and accessible routes for pedestrians and cyclists.
- Alignment with Solihull Council’s Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan, supporting wider regional transport improvements.

Traffic
Addressing concerns of traffic calming and road safety
We understand that traffic speeds and road safety are key concerns for the local community. As part of the emerging proposals, we are exploring a package of traffic calming measures including raised table junctions, chicanes, crossings and improved gateway features to reduce speeds and encourage safer driving. These would be installed along key routes including Norton Lane, Fulford Hall Road and Rumbush Lane, helping to improve safety and address any traffic impact.
