Social infrastructure

Providing full support for community infrastructure

We recognise the need to ensure the necessary infrastructure is in place to support new residential development.

Should planning permission be granted for the development financial contributions will be paid via the s106 Agreement, in addition to a Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) payment which is expected to be in excess of £7 million. This money would be used to improve local provision for health, education, transport and other types of community infrastructure.

Primary school

Supporting local education with potential expansion

Following engagement with Solihull Council, we understand that there is potential for further expansion of Tidbury Green Primary School to increase capacity for children who will be living on this development. Any expansion would be funded by this development.

Discussions are on-going with Solihull Council on how best to ensure sufficient capacity for Secondary age students who will be living on this development.

New amenities

Places to meet, shop and enjoy

As part of the proposals, Summix has allocated land for a new local centre. Potential uses could include a local shop, a café and/or a community hall. Further details about the proposed amenities will be explored at the reserved matters stage of the planning process.
