The need for housing
Building the homes that Solihull needs
Across the UK, demand for new homes continues to grow. With a rising population, longer life expectancy, and more people looking to buy their first home, it’s important to plan for the future by delivering well-designed and sustainable communities.
As a result, the UK Government has committed to building at least 1.5 million new homes over the next five years – or 370,000 new homes per year – to keep up with demand. As part of this, Solihull is required to build an average of 1,323 new homes each year. By comparison, an average of only 590 homes have been built each year in the borough since 2021.
This development aims to address these challenges by delivering up to 850 homes, 50% of which would be classed as affordable. The proposals will feature a mix of house types and tenures, suitable for all parts of the community.

Design and materials
Commitment to high-quality design
To ensure this development meets the highest standards, an outline design code will be created in collaboration with Solihull Council. This will guide the appearance and layout of the new homes, ensuring they complement the character of the local area. By using high-quality materials and carefully considered designs, we will deliver a development that both reflects and respects its local surroundings.
